Erin Lindsey is a creative director, designer, photographer, and writer exploring the intersection of design, travel, and place.

She is the founder of Escape Brooklyn and Escape Los Angeles, editorial platforms that spotlight the most unique getaways, architecture, landscape, and regional culture through a design-forward lens. Erin’s work spans brand storytelling, editorial production, and photography across travel, architecture, and hospitality — from boutique hotels and vacation rentals to creative campaigns and digital products. In the design world, she is practiced in graphic design and interior design/renovation, and helped bring the Red Rose Motel in Roscoe, NY back to life.

Most recently, Erin directed the concept and brand development of Escape Club, a curated travel app connecting travelers with design-driven stays around the world, with a focus on the Northeast.

Erin studied graphic design at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Bachelor of Science in Design. Early in her career, she worked in the art world at Christie’s Auction House, before shifting into the fashion world. Over the next decade, she worked across apparel and retail including a role as the sole graphic designer behind J.Crew’s Mercantile brand, as well as DKNY Girls.

Escape began during those years as a way to channel creative energy toward the places, design, and real-world discovery that inspired her most. It has since evolved into a full-time creative practice and community.

Based between the Catskills and the California desert, Erin’s projects are unified by a sense of place, capturing how landscape and design shape the way we live, travel, and connect.

Her photography and editorial for work or a personal have been featured across a wide range of travel and design media including The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, and Travel + Leisure.

Erin is always building: collections, brands, spaces, and archives. Outside of work, she can often be found hiking, running, gardening, shaping spaces at home, or deep in the early stages of her next idea.
