A practice shaped by light, composition, and precision

My work sits at the intersection of travel, interiors, and landscape, with a focus on how spaces change with natural light. Trained as a graphic designer, I approach photography with an emphasis on composition and balance, attentive to how structure, atmosphere, and environment come together within a single frame.

Photography became central to my practice through years of documenting architecture, landscapes, and places. What began as a way of recording experience evolved into a discipline shaped by timing and restraint — capturing a subject at a precise moment, when light is most complementary to form, material, and space.

That precision defines how the work is made. Many images exist within a narrow window; a photograph taken even minutes earlier or later can feel entirely different. My favorite shoots begin early or extend into blue hour, when light, environment, and structure align best.

Above, I recently photographed Plaza Blanca (“The White Place”), a landscape that was a frequent subject of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings. Captured during a brief ten-minute window at sunrise, the light revealed contrast and form before the terrain shifted into a bright, uniform white — illustrating how just a few minutes can fundamentally change a photograph.

Travel & Destination

My travel photography is rooted in presence, moving slowly through landscapes and places, and responding to light as it changes. Whether working in deserts, forests, or small towns, I’m interested in capturing a sense of quiet, scale, and place rather than spectacle.

I gravitate toward early starts, long walks, and in-between hours, where landscape and atmosphere feel most alive. These images often sit at the intersection of environment and design, shaped by both geography and human intention.

Interiors & Architecture

My interiors and architectural work is guided by an attention to natural light, proportion, and materiality. Influenced by my background in graphic design, I focus on clean compositions and visual clarity, allowing form and atmosphere to lead rather than overpowering a space.

I’m particularly drawn to moments when light defines structure: early morning shadows, softened interiors, and transitional hours that shape how a space is experienced. The goal is not just documentation, but capturing that precise moment when light, structure, and atmosphere come into alignment.
